Family Transition Program

Family Promise owns a duplex and each unit has a two-bedroom apartment.  Guests that graduate from our New Foundation – Family Shelter Program can apply to enroll in the Bridge Program.  If one of the apartments is available and the family qualifies they can apply to stay in the apartment.

Once enrolled they are required to put a percentage of their income into savings each month. They are also required to continue meeting weekly with our Social Worker and participate in monthly home inspections.  We want to help these families learn how to take care of an apartment in a way that helps them develop good relationships with landlords.

This program helps them save additional money towards the purchase of a car or other critical needs.  The length of stay in the apartments in normally three to six months but we work with each family to enable them to accomplish their goals.
